TOTC MEMBER MEETING – 2/3/11

 

Michelle Compton presented a program on canine massage.

 

Meeting called to order at 7:15pm

Minutes of the last meeting were dispensed with.

 

Secretary’s Report: Connie Cleveland’s Seminar, Aug. 27 & 28th in Briar, TX, was passed around.

Robin also distributed an events calendar of upcoming TOTC events.

 

Treasurer’s Report: Income for Jan. was $4900. We’ve received $3600 in agility entries already. Report approved.

 

Vice President’s Report: We will be giving $100 every quarter to a local charity. Please give your suggestions for charities to Mary.

 

Training Director’s Report: We are changing the training schedule for the summer by removing the original session #4 in July. We will be adding another agility session in June.

There is a tracking seminar on April 2nd in Shreveport. The cost is $165 per working spot.

 

Agility Committee: Feb 19 & 20 at Texas Rose Horse Park. Please come out and help. Workers get raffle tickets and lunch. We will set up on Friday from 3-6pm. There are flyers available for the show. Please take some and post them in local stores.

If you have anything to donate for the raffle, please get it to Phyllis.

There will be an agility match on Feb 13th. Please come out and learn to score.

We will have an equipment clean-up day on Feb 12th at 10am.

 

New Members: 2nd readings and voted into membership: Beverly & David Crossley

1st readings: Karen Nicodemus, Christine McManus, Courtney Hinson, Krissy Grey, Stephen Johnson, Eden Lovelady & Anne Palmer

 

Old Business:

There will be agility practice days every Sunday at 4pm at Lucky Dog, for $5. per dog.

 

New Business:

Hide A Way Small Animal Clinic Training. Need members to come out and help March 26th, April 2nd & 9th at 10am.

 

Obedience Match. March 27th, Sunday 10am-4pm, at Lucky Dog.

 

Quitman Demo. April 30th, 10am-2pm, at Quitman Animal Clinic. All levels of agility and obedience dogs are needed.

 

SPCA Petapalooza. March 5th, 10am in Ben Wheeler. All obedience and agility dogs are needed to demo, and to help new dog owners.

 

SPCA Fund Raiser is on Feb. 12th at the Lone Star Event Center. All the money goes to the new SPCA.
